caren ang-oayp is a painter, development worker, mother, and breast cancer survivor. Her writing has been featured in Good Housekeeping Philippines. caren’s visual art explores sickness, healing, recovery, femininity, and women’s empowerment. While watercolor and watercolor pencils on sketchpad are her primary medium, she also utilizes digital media. Affectionately, caren names her pieces simply, “Obra.” Nowadays, her “art time” constitutes sharing with her work organization that helps women help themselves, their families and their communities.
